Have a fun summer...call me!

Vaughn and I were looking through our yearbooks the other day. We were laughing at all the funny things people write, the classic yearbook line: "Have a great summer, call me for sure!", but somehow the phone number never gets to the page. Vaughn said he wants to go through his yearbook and find someone who gave him their phone number, call them and say: Uh, yeah this is Vaughn from high school. You left your number in my yearbook and told me to call you. So I just wanted to do that. yeah. We were couldn't stop laughing. Could you imagine? That would be so hilarious. As I was looking through all the yearbook signed pages, I came across this. .

My sweetheart signed my yearbook when we were in junior high!
I had no idea until the other day! Obviously I didn't sign his because my signature was no where to be found. I was the new girl at North Ogden Junior High and Vaughn used to call me Princess Leia. I secretly hated it, I thought he was so nerdy. I especially thought Star Wars was oh so lame, anything do do with Sci-Fi, boring! Listen up Yoda, I don't wear buns on the side of my head so don't call me Princess Leia. (Later he told me he thought Princess Leia was a hottie and that it was meant to be a compliment)

I think it's super special that he signed my yearbook, little did we know what would happen seven years down the road. Vaughn and I never had any classes together all through out high school, which I find extremely weird! I think Heavenly Father knew that if we would have gotten to know each other in high school, we would have liked each other, started dating and then things probably wouldn't have worked out in the end. Then we wouldn't be married now. It may seem silly but, I think we didn't have a class together for a very good reason, we were supposed to meet and fall in love years later. Everything happens for a good reason.

I love you babe, thanks for signing my yearbook!

Welcome to the family

Jaycee
Born: May 18th, 2009

Abbie is already in love with her
Jaycee is the third person in our family born on May 18th. Both my dad & my father in law were born on May 18th, how crazy!

I'm an aunt!

I love this one, look at those chompers
Aunt Abbie
Abbie couldn't get enough of holding Jaycee

I asked Vaughn if he would like to hold her and he gave me this nervous look

... and replied, I'll just wait to hold our baby.

Happy Birthday to . . .

My mom.

Thanks for being you. You have got to be one of the coolest moms around. Hanging out with me and my friends, taking us to Wendy's at Midnight, listening to Mariah Carey and dare I say. . Hanson (I liked them back in the day, Mmmbop!) Knowing all the songs on the radio. Chinese fire drills. Dancing every time you hear a disco song, you are the life of any party, especially when Aunt Cathi is around. The uncontrollable laughter..I think it was about Grandpa Julian's cowboy hat when he had a lay over at the airport. All the countless hours shopping and planning for my wedding. Your attempt at "rhyming" during Abbie's story game. Being your only girl for 17 years. The courage to be a mom. I have lots of fun memories of you. Thanks for everything!

I love you!

Vacation

We went down to St. George for 4 days and had a blast! My Grandma and Grandpa, as well as lots of extended family live there too. Snow Canyon, biking, cadillac trips to Nielsen's Frozen Custard, carmel apples, enchiladas, spending time with the family, Pasta Factory, Temple session, several historic sites, portable dvd movies up on Dixie mountain, UB40 and 95 degree temperatures ... ah, I dreaded coming back home. Definitely going again soon!
