Smittens. . Love Gloves!

 I so want these!
Keep love in the air and your hands out of the cold.
Smittens are mittens specially designed so that two people can hold hands inside of one mitten.
Okay maybe a little bit cheesy but, I wanna hold my honey's hand, especially when it's cold outside!

Knitwear designer Wendy Feller came up with the idea for Smittens while on a romantic but chilly walk with her husband. Instead of holding hands through bulky mittens, Feller designed a plush fleece set of two regular mittens plus a third oversized one for a couple to share between them.

Genius!

New Year!

We spent New Years (December 28th-January 3rd) in St. George. It was so much fun!

We had so much fun exploring and had some great adventures!
We hung out on the Shivwits Indian Reservation a lot, found old abandoned houses, this amazing Lagoon that we actually discovered last visit, saw the Anasazi Indian wrintings and enjoyed time with the family.

This next photo below makes me laugh, obviously we were not quite ready..

Getting ready to go exploring

Here we are hiking up to the Indian writings, we crawled under a barbed wire fence! (grandpa's shortcut)

Here's the Lagoon, it's much cooler looking in person though.

The Best Christmas Song Ever.

While attending the wonderful Christmas Devotional at the Conference Center two weeks ago I was so excited when the Mormon Tabernacle Choir sang
"For Unto Us a Child is Born", Handel's, The Messiah.
For sure my favorite Christmas song. It gives me the goosebumps!
No better way to start off the Christmas season with such a beautiful song, watch and listen ...

Wish we were on our way to St. George..

This was our last trip in October that I forgot to post. We are leaving for warmer weather the day after Christmas and will be gone for 8 days! Oh yeah! I for sure won't miss this freeeeeeeezing weather.

Christmas Cards.

Look how fun!

Okay so maybe the photos look a bit like engagements and perhaps maybe a hint of a wedding invitation...but, we really are like that. Just in love!
Happy Holidays!

First Kiss

Upon remembering this time last year and the year before, Vaughn pointed out that two years ago on November 17th, 2007 we shared our first kiss! It was a highly anticipated and long awaited moment for Vaughn (and me too of course) I made him wait eleven dates before I allowed him the special privilege. So to celebrate, Vaughn surprised me by taking me up to the university football field and there we kissed again! Same spot, same day (two years later) and about the same time..maybe it was little bit later. Anyway, of course we (I) had to take a photo or two.

If you can even make this picture out, it's us on the bleachers. Really terrible quality.

Since November 17th, 2007 we've roughly estimated our kiss count to be somewhere in the millions.
I love Vaughn.

Birthday Boy!

Photobucket

Happy Birthday Vaughn darling!

I love you more and more each day. My life is so much sweeter now that you're a part of it!
I'm so grateful that Bill and Janet welcomed you, my husband into the world 26 years ago on November 19th, 1983.

I love you sweetheart!

The birthday festivities includes treats, gifts, bowling earlier that week as a ward activity and homemade enchiladas per Vaughn's request.
