The Best Christmas Song Ever.

 While attending the wonderful Christmas Devotional at the Conference Center two weeks ago I was so excited when the Mormon Tabernacle Choir sang
"For Unto Us a Child is Born", Handel's, The Messiah.

 For sure my favorite Christmas song. It gives me the goosebumps!
No better way to start off the Christmas season with such a beautiful song, watch and listen ...

This was our last trip in October that I forgot to post. We are leaving for warmer weather the day after Christmas and will be gone for 8 days! Oh yeah! I for sure won't miss this freeeeeeeezing weather.

First Kiss

Upon remembering this time last year and the year before, Vaughn pointed out that two years ago on November 17th, 2007 we shared our first kiss! It was a highly anticipated and long awaited moment for Vaughn (and me too of course) I made him wait eleven dates before I allowed him the special privilege. So to celebrate, Vaughn surprised me by taking me up to the university football field and there we kissed again! Same spot, same day (two years later) and about the same time..maybe it was little bit later. Anyway, of course we (I) had to take a photo or two.

 If you can even make this picture out, it's us on the bleachers. Really terrible quality.

Since November 17th, 2007 we've roughly estimated our kiss count to be somewhere in the millions.
I love Vaughn.

 I'm so grateful that Bill and Janet welcomed you, my husband into the world 26 years ago on November 19th, 1983.

 The birthday festivities includes treats, gifts, bowling earlier that week as a ward activity and homemade enchiladas per Vaughn's request.

I can't get this movie out of my mind.

Exceptional and a wonderful storyline, although it hurts me just to think about it all. . Best movie I've seen in a really long time.

If you haven't seen this yet, run to the video store and watch it tonight. It's unbelievable. Absolutely incomprehensible. How could this have happened in our world? Can you imagine all the lives that were lost? It goes to show how innocent children were caught up in a world of ignorance and brainwashed by their parents who hated Jews. We both cried and just the thought of it makes me sick. This movie is one of those that at the end you're just silent, there are no words to say (the only other movies that cause me to have silence at the end are The Testaments and the Joseph Smith movie at Temple Square). You just have to take it all in, breath and then have a moment of silence. Everyone must see this movie, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. It's a definite must see!

 my deliciously handsome husband made dinner the other night. Chicken quesadillas, fresh guacamole, diced tomatoes, mexican rice and beans, and fresh salsa

Unfortunately Vaughn had to work late Tuesday night (7:30 pm) so I decided I'd surprised him with Italian night for dinner. I strung up some lantern lights in the kitchen, made two different pasta recipes, rolls and had "Bella Notte" from Disney's Lady and the Tramp playing in the background.

When he arrived, he surprised me with a pretty red rose. What a lucky girl I am!

Bear Lake

Weekend Date with my Honey.

We decided to get away last weekend so we rented a small cabin at Bear Lake and had a blast!

We explored on some off roading areas, hiked up to a beautiful glassy lake and got milkshakes that night.

We brought our portable dvd player and watched this:
